Join me for an active flow class that focusses primarily on both strengthening and lengthening Quadratus Lumborum (QL). The QL muscles attach on either side of the lumbar spine (the lower portion of the back), connecting from the bottom rib to the top of the pelvis. QL often compensate when other muscles in the hips and back on not firing efficiently and can be a real contributor to lower back pain. In this class we’ll be identifying the primary movements of QL in side flexion and spinal extension and incorporating them into an active flow class.
